Love inactive, Willis to start

Jordan Love is officially inactive for the Packers. Malik Willis will start at quarterback. A 2022 third-round pick, Willis will be making his fourth career NFL start. Love is missing his first game since taking over as the Packers starter.

Packers go up early, 3-0

The Packers rushed six times for 57 yards and overcame a pair of early penalties to set up Brayden Narveson’s 46-yard field goal. Josh Jacobs’ 34-yard run on 1st-and-20 was the key play. Malik Willis’ only completion went for zero yards on 3rd-and-7.

Dontayvion Wicks puts Packers up 10-0

The Packers are rolling. On 3rd-and-4, Malik Willis hit Dontayvion Wicks for a 14-yard touchdown. Through two drives, the Packers have 135 rushing yards, including 67 from Josh Jacobs. The touchdown pass to Wicks was the first of Willis’ NFL career.

Josh Jacobs fumble

The Packers were a yard or two away from taking a 17-0 lead, but Josh Jacobs fumbled near the goal line, and the Colts recovered in the end zone. The Packers are dominating on the ground and defensively but lead only 10-0.

Packers dominating at half

The Packers lead 10-0 at half and are dominating both on the ground and defensively. Green Bay rushed for 237 yards and allowed only 80 yards in the first half. Josh Jacobs is already up to 128 rushing yards on 20 carries. The Colts get the ball to start the third quarter.

Fourth down stop leads to field goal

The Packers got a stop on fourth down on the Colts’ opening possession, and the offense drove 23 yards — using a 17-yard completion to Tucker Kraft on 3rd-and-9 — to set up Brayden Narveson’s 42-yard field goal. The Packers lead, 13-0.

Colts finally on the board

It took the Colts over 40 minutes of game time to get on the board. A couple of explosive runs from Jonathan Taylor and a play-action hit from Anthony Richardson to Mo Allie-Cox set up a short field goal. The Packers now lead, 13-3.

Six-point swing

After the Colts missed a 50-yard field goal, the Packers got a 39-yard pass from Malik Willis to Romeo Doubs on 3rd-and-5 to set up Brayden Narveson’s third field goal. This one was from 34 yards. The six-point swing has the Packers leading 16-3 with under 11 minutes to go.

Can Packers hold on?

Brayden Narveson’s 45-yard field goal drifted wide right, leaving the door open for the Colts at 16-3 with 4:10 to go. Can the Packers slam the door shut here late? They’ve done everything necessary to steal a win with a backup quarterback, just need to finish.

Packers win

Evan Williams recovered an onside kick following a Colts touchdown, and then intercepted Anthony Richardson on a Hail Mary as time expired.
