Lions held pre-draft meeting with Michigan State safety Kendell Brooks

Brooks had an impressive season for the Spartans after transferring in from a D-II program

Lions GM Brad Holmes and his scouting staff are casting a wide net in advance of the 2023 NFL draft. The team recently held a virtual meeting with Michigan State safety Kendell Brooks, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC-2.

Brooks is generally projected as a seventh-round pick or undrafted free agent after playing one season for the Spartans. He transferred to Michigan State from D-II North Greenville in South Carolina and quickly established himself as one of the Spartans’ top defensive players.

This is not one of the Lions’ 30 allotted pre-draft visits. Brooks met virtually with the team, and that doesn’t count against the “top-30” limit.
