One of the more intriguing cornerback prospects in the 2023 NFL draft will have a pre-draft visit with the Detroit Lions. Mississippi State CB Emmanuel Forbes revealed at his pro day on Tuesday that he has a private visit set up with the Lions. He has already had an informal meeting with the Lions at the NFL Scouting Combine.
It’s one of several top-30 visits for Forbes, who is a potential top 50 overall pick. Other visits include the Eagles, Patriots, Steelers and Vikings.
Forbes is a talented cover man with great ball skills, but his size–or lack thereof–is an issue. He weighed in at 170 pounds at the Bulldogs’ pro day, up from 166 at the combine. The Lions were in attendance at the pro day.
