Rookie linebacker Christian Harris left the Houston Texans’ Week 12 matchup against the Miami Dolphins with an unspecified injury after laying a brutal hit on receiver Trent Sherfield. The play happened in the red zone as the Dolphins were inching closer to what would be their first touchdown of the tilt.

Miami took a 10-point lead on a touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa to tight end Durham Smythe just a few plays after Harris’ injury. Houston was considered the underdog heading into this game, and with the loss of Harris and now facing a considerable deficit, will need a miracle to pull out their second win of the season against the white-hot Dolphins.

Harris was a third-round pick by the Texans in the 2022 draft and has been finding his niche on Houston’s defense in recent weeks. He missed the early part of the season on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue, and his presence on the field has been a boon for the Texans’ struggling defense.
