Amidst a global pandemic and the sports world on hold, Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma football coaching staff made sure the ones keeping everyone safe are not going unnoticed.
I know our focus right now is taking care of our families and our @OU_Football Team, but that’s not enough-
Ask yourself: What are you doing for those that are protecting/saving us???
THANK YOU to all medical service providers out there…you’re our heroes-

The families of Sooners coaches took time to personally make goodie-bags for healthcare workers at the Norman Regional health system in Moore and Norman, Okla. The families even took the time to write personalized messages on each bag to uplift the spirits of those battling the coronavirus daily.
According to Riley, the gesture was the idea of outside receivers coach Dennis Simmons. Oklahoma released a brief video showing the bags being made by various coaches and their children as well while saying thanks to all healthcare workers.
With the coronavirus pandemic canceling spring football for just about everyone in the country, Oklahoma has used the stoppage to hit recruiting hard while working from home and being innovative with their coaches’ meetings.
