Staples Center is known for attracting high-profile celebrities to Los Angeles Lakers games.

The Lakers, the “home team” against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, had a famous person in the virtual audience on the sidelines.

Rapper Lil Wayne made an appearance as a fan for the Lakers and Thunder game.

He’s a big Lakers fan, telling Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s All The Smoke podcast that his favorite players are Lakers.

“The whole Lakers squad are my favorite players, everybody on the team over there, everybody on the bench, everybody,” Lil Wayne said.

Outside Los Angeles, he specifically mentioned Chris Paul and former Thunder players Russell Westbrook and James Harden.

Lil Wayne called Paul “my bro” and, outside of him and Lakers players, Westbrook is his favorite in the league.

With all that love for players on these teams, this was a good game for Lil Wayne to choose.

The Thunder are hoping to get back on the win column and get closer to inching up the standings. The Lakers, who clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference on Monday, look to continue getting their flow back and get some momentum heading into the NBA playoffs.

We know who Lil Wayne is going to be rooting for when those start.
