Lewis Cine to make NFL debut on Monday night

The first round pick is expected to make his debut on Monday night

It was disappointing to not have rookie first-round safety Lewis Cine in the lineup for Sunday’s 23-7 opening win against the Green Bay Packers. Dealing with a knee injury he aggravated in practice, he was at the top of the inactive list.

Cine currently sits just behind both Harrison Smith and Camryn Bynum on the depth chart and will be getting a lot of playing time in sub packages and in rotation as well.

In speaking at practice today, Cine said he would play on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

This is great news for the Vikings as they will need Cine to rotate in and help in both the running game and on the back end. The Eagles have a lot of ways to attack you as a defense and Cine can help minimize that with his explosiveness and quick trigger.
