After Masvidal (35-15 MMA, 12-8 UFC) withdrew from his anticipated grudge match with Edwards (19-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) at UFC 269 earlier this month, he has been on the mend recovering from the rib injury that prevented him from competing on the Dec. 11 fight card.

Masvidal announced this week, however, that he’s been granted clearance to return to the octagon. The problem, though, is that he can’t find anyone to sign a contract to fight him – allegedly.

“I’m off the injury list, and these little b*tches don’t want to sign the contract,” Masvidal said on his YouTube channel. “The contracts have been handed. It’s in their f*cking face. They know I’m off the injury list.”

Masvidal even took a shot at Edwards in particular.

“To the one who’s in England that was talking sh*t, you too, man,” Masvidal said. “Come on, one of you sign the dotted line.”

Edwards, who has said in the aftermath of Masvidal’s withdrawal from UFC 269 that he intends on waiting for a title shot against Kamaru Usman next, caught wind of what “Gamebred” had to say, and it was clear he found it to be comical (via Twitter):

This motherf*cker is deluded 😂😂😂😂

The feud between Edwards and Masvidal goes back to March 2019. After both men picked up wins at a UFC event in London, they got into a backstage altercation that saw Masvidal strike Edwards multiple times before they were separated.

Heat between the two has been stirring ever since, and finally they were booked at UFC 269 before the matchup fell apart.
