LeBron James will not play Saturday versus the Warriors

The Lakers will once again be without their best player on Saturday against the defending NBA champion Warriors.

The Los Angeles Lakers will look significantly different when they take on the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.

After several trades that sent out Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverley, Thomas Bryant, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones, they’re expected to start integrating newcomers D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt, while another newcomer, Mo Bamba, will make his debut a little later after serving a four-game suspension.

Unfortunately, Los Angeles, which is on a three-game losing streak, will once again be without its franchise player. LeBron James will sit out this contest with left ankle soreness, an ailment that kept him out of Thursday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

General manager Rob Pelinka emphasized that imaging was done and nothing clinically significant came up.

After their tilt with Golden State, the Lakers will head to Oregon to play Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
