LeBron James welcomes Stephen Curry back to the lineup after his return against the Toronto Raptors: “The game missed you.”

Stephen Curry made his highly-anticipated return to the Golden State Warriors lineup on Thursday against the Toronto Raptors. Despite his team dropping a 121-113 decision to Pascal Siakam and company, Curry’s performance was extremely encouraging for Golden State. After being forced to miss 58 games with a broken left hand, the three-time NBA champion totaled 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in just 27 minutes of work.

The Warriors took a brief lead in the third quarter but were eventually defeated by a Raptors team who currently owns the second-best record in the Eastern Conference. Norman Powell paced the defending champs with 37 points as Kyle Lowry added 26. While watching the game during an off-night for his Lakers, LeBron James welcomed Curry back to the NBA stage with a message on Twitter.

James tweeted that he was happy to see Curry back out there on an NBA court and added that the game missed him. Along with the entire league missing Curry, nobody missed him more than Steve Kerr and the Warriors. With Steph in the lineup, they were able to compete with one of the best teams in the East. Without him, they’ve compiled the worst record in the NBA and are currently slated for a top pick in this summer’s draft.
