It’s been just under a month since we last saw LeBron James flying around a basketball court. The superstar had hurt his foot in late February, leading to questions about how the Los Angeles Lakers would stay afloat in the Western Conference playoff race.
With the postseason on the near horizon, L.A. is in eighth place, and James … well, James, looks like he’s ready to return soon. This after recently shooting down reports about hiccups in his injury progress.
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, James’ status for Sunday’s home game against the Chicago Bulls was upgraded to “questionable.” Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the forward will also test his foot in pregame warmups.
While none of these developments guarantee that James will appear against Chicago, they are the best signs that he’ll likely return to action soon as the Lakers try to cement themselves in the West.
Lakers star LeBron James has been upgraded again to questionable for tonight vs. Bulls. The return is near.
