LeBron James lists Warriors’ Steph Curry as a player he wants to play with

LeBron James lists Steph Curry as a player he would like to play with in today’s game.

During his illustrious career, LeBron James has played alongside a vast list of Hall of Fame-caliber teammates. Players like Dwayne Wade, Kyrie Irving, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Anthony Davis and Kevin Love have all laced up next to the four-time NBA champion.

On the other side of the court, James has had some of his most memorable battles against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Despite their clashes in the NBA Finals, James would like to add Curry to his distinguished list of teammates.

In an appearance on his show “The Shop,” James mentioned his son 17-year-old son Bronny and Golden State’s two-time Most Valuable Player as players he would like to play with someday.

In today’s game — Steph Curry. Steph Curry is the one I want to play with for sure in today’s game…

I love everything about that guy. Lethal. When Steph gets out of his car, you better guard him from the moment he pulls up to the arena. As soon as he gets out of his car, you better guard him. You might want to guard him when he gets out of bed. Swear to god.

James and Curry met in four consecutive NBA Finals, with the Warriors winning three championships in that span. In their most recent significant battle, James eliminated Curry and the Warriors in the 2021 Western Conference postseason play-in tournament.

Before Curry was named the 2022 NBA All-Star Game MVP, James picked the Warriors’ All-Star guard for Team LeBron in the draft. Curry went on to break the All-Star game 3-pointer record with 16 triples during a 50 point performance. James then sealed the contest with a game-winner.

While it’s unclear if James is actually building an angle to link up with Curry as teammates someday or just showing a fellow future Hall of Fame-caliber player respect. Yet, in a league filled with player movement, it’s hard to count out any surprises.
