LeBron James jetted into Paris, sipped wine and saw Liverpool lose the Champions League final

The King looked sharp in the stands, but his beloved Liverpool was unable to pull out the win

LeBron James barely made it to Stade de France in time for the Champions League final, but he was unable to witness his Liverpool side lift the trophy as it fell 1-0 to Real Madrid.

James owns two percent of the Reds and is a vocal fan of the team, often posting his support on Twitter.

Amid a chaotic pre-match period that saw fans stranded outside the stadium in Paris and some pepper sprayed by French authorities, James posted on Twitter just that he was on his way.

The tweet from James came just five minutes before the scheduled kickoff time, but the match ended up being delayed by 37 minutes due to the issues getting fans into the stadium.

At the game, the LA Lakers star was captured in the stands looking dapper in a suit and sipping on white wine.

Unfortunately, Thibaut Courtois spoiled the party for James and Liverpool, with the Real Madrid goalkeeper putting together an exceptional performance that saw a single goal from Vinícius Júnior stand up in a 1-0 win.

Though James was disappointed with the outcome, there was at least one NBA star who was happy to see Madrid win a 14th European title.
