The Los Angeles Lakers came out with dominance on their minds on Monday night against the Golden State Warriors, building up a big lead and forcing the Warriors to play from behind for most of the night. But while the Warriors were in a tough spot for much of the game, their superstar Stephen Curry reached a major milestone that even got LeBron James to give his former Finals foe a hug mid-game.
With an assist in the second half of Monday night’s game, Curry became the Golden State Warriors franchise leader in assists. After he reached the milestone, James went to congratulate his fellow Akron-born NBA brethren.
Warriors just played a cool video in honor of Steph setting the new franchise record for assists with heartfelt messages from Klay, Draymond and Magic. Steph watched from Warriors huddle — and then LeBron walked over to congratulate him as he walked back to the floor. pic.twitter.com/BXQHars6zF

Curry and James have been rivals for a long time but it does appear the two players got a little closer after being on the same team during All-Star Weekend. The Lakers, despite the milestone for Curry, are well on their way to a nice road win.
