LeBron James hits buzzer-beater to tie Blazers at halftime

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James gave the squad a great ending to a high-scoring quarter on Saturday night.

LeBron James helped the Los Angeles Lakers close a half in which they allowed the Portland Trail Blazers to get loose. Without Damian Lillard, the Blazers shot the lights out in the first half and managed to score 68 points. However, the Lakers were able to survive the hot shooting thanks to some excellent offensive play of their own, capped off by an epic finish to the half by LeBron James.

James finished the half with 21 points, doing a little bit of everything on the offensive end for the Lakers. He capped off the excellent half with a tough 3-pointer to tie the game at 68 going into halftime just before the first-half buzzer.

Carmelo Anthony was excellent in a battle against his friend and fellow 2003 draftee, scoring 18 points. CJ McCollum led the Blazers with 21 points, as he played the entire first half. Portland shot the ball 10 for 14 from the field, which might be unsustainable for the Blazers to keep going in the 2nd half as the Lakers look to close out the series.
