After LeBron James won his 4th championship less than three weeks ago, it’s yet another reminder of how bizarre this year is that his 4th Larry O’Brien trophy ran up against the 17-year anniversary of his first NBA game. Thursday was the 17th anniversary of LeBron’s first game, as a rookie for the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Sacramento Kings back at the Arco Arena in Sacramento.
James, of course, has come along way from that old Arco Arena, winning four championships, including bringing one to his hometown Cavaliers and most recently, helping the Lakers win their 17th NBA title, tying the Boston Celtics for the most in NBA history. James also celebrated the feat by doing his own version of the newly popular, “how it started, how it’s going” meme.
