LeBron hinted at his future with a sly postgame message about playing ‘for any franchise’

This is intriguing.

It’s probably not the right time to think about LeBron James’ future at a time when we should be celebrating the moment he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the all-time scoring list and marveling at all the incredible photos and cool stuff like how his sons erupted in pride when he broke the record.

But here’s the thing: LeBron went there.

In a postgame interview with TNT after his record-breaking night, he was asked by Shaquille O’Neal about whether he knew if he could play a few more years.

He said he definitely could, if he’s still motivated.

But then he added, “I feel like that’s what I can still do for any group of guys, for any franchise, I can go out there and still help win multiple championships.”

Did you hear that? For any group of guys, for any franchise.

In other words: “Come get me.”

I’m not the only one who noticed, and this is probably one of those moments where franchises beyond the Lakers are thinking about what it would mean to draft his son Bronny — whom LeBron has said he’d love to play with — and get LeBron along with him.

So to the other 29 NBA franchises: YOU’VE GOT A SHOT!
