Latest WNBA draft projections as Angel Reese, Hailey Van Lith face key decisions

Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith face quick turnarounds regarding draft decisions.

Now that the LSU women’s basketball season is officially over after a 94-87 loss to Iowa in the Elite Eight on Monday night, a pair of Tigers stars face key decisions with a quick turnaround.

With coach Kim Mulkey’s team eliminated, stars [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] and Hailey Van Lith only have 48 hours — until Wednesday night — to declare for the WNBA draft.

Both maintain the option of returning to LSU for another season, and neither has given a clear indication of what they intend to do. Reese said Monday after the loss that she would make a decision when the time is right.

While Van Lith isn’t receiving much first-round hype, Reese is. The Minnesota Lynx at pick No. 7 has been a commonly projected landing spot, though the latest first-round mock from CBS has her going eighth to the Chicago Sky.

Only time will tell what the pair ultimately decides to do, but they don’t have a long time to mull it over.
