Another week is in the books and, yet again, Spencer Dinwiddie was on the shortlist of players being considered for Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
The honor for Week 9 went to Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry. Dinwiddie was one of the other five players nominated for Eastern Conference Player of the Week, with the others being: Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo, Chicago Bulls wing Zach LaVine, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton and Boston Celtics wing Jayson Tatum.
This is now the fourth time Dinwiddie has been nominated for the honor. He has received the honor once (Week 5) and was also an Eastern Conference Player of the Month nominee for games played in October and November.
But that’s not all. Former NBA big man turned analyst Kendrick Perkins has praised Dinwiddie for his play, throwing around the idea that the guard deserves All-Star consideration.
The latest to help further the idea of Dinwiddie being All-Star was the Nets point guard’s favorite basketball player of all time, Kobe Bryant, who praised Dinwiddie when he attended Brooklyn’s game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
