Latest commit pushes MSU basketball into top 5 nationally in 2024 recruiting cycle

It’s still very early, but Michigan State is off to a great start in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

The Spartans picked up their second commitment in the 2024 class earlier this week when four-star center Jesse McCulloch picked Michigan State over Alabama, Xavier and Virginia Tech. He joined fellow four-star and top 40 recruit Kur Teng who committed to the Spartans in early April.

With a pair of four-star commits, Michigan State now holds the No. 5 recruiting class nationally on 247Sports. The Spartans are behind only Rutgers at No. 4 from the Big Ten.

Michigan State signed the No. 4 recruiting class for the 2023 cycle, and is already off to a great start in 2024. It’s still very early in the process so we shouldn’t read too much into this high ranking at the moment, but it’s still nice for Spartans fans to see their team’s name towards the top of this list.
