Raiders’ offseason recap

The Raiders didn’t make a lot of eye-popping moves during the offseason. Perhaps the best move was adding veteran WR Willie Snead to bolster the pass game, although he is more of a depth piece than someone who will move the needle on offense.

Veteran DBs Rasul Douglas and Casey Hayward were added to the secondary and provide some much-needed help on the back end.

The offensive line will be improved with OL Alex Leatherwood, plucked in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Adding to the secondary improvement theme, they also added S Trevon Moehrig in the second round.

Las Vegas Raiders Super Bowl 56 and 2021 NFL futures picks

The Raiders seemingly decided to stand pat with a roster that was .500, while everyone in the AFC West made big, bold moves in the offseason. The Kansas City Chiefs are still a Super Bowl contender, and the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers got better, at least on paper.

A bet on the Raiders +1600 to win the AFC West would be throwing money down the drain. There is no way. NO (-400): Will the Raiders make the playoffs? is more of a certainty, although risking four times your potential return is a lot of scratch to tie up and wait out for the entire season.

The UNDER 7 wins (-110)might be your best bet. The Broncos and Chargers will be much better, and the Raiders might be lucky to go 2-6 within the AFC West in 2021.
