On Tuesday, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and Sacramento Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton were named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played in February.
The two players were both previously named the Rookies of the Month for December and January.
Ball became the fifth rookie in franchise history to win the award multiple times after averaging 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 13 games during the month. He led all rookies in points and assists per game while he was second in rebounds and third in steals.
Meanwhile, Haliburton averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals on 45% shooting from 3-point range in 13 February games. He led all rookies in 3-pointers and steals, while he ranked second in scoring and second in assists.

While Ball and Haliburton each won the award again, Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, Detroit Pistons guard Saddiq Bey and New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley were among the other rookies considered.
