Lakers vs. Spurs: Live stream, how to watch, TV channel (Jan. 1)

The Los Angeles Lakers start the new year with another game against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.

The Los Angeles Lakers will begin the new year the same way they ended 2020, facing off against the San Antonio Spurs. As part of something we will see more of in 2021, the Lakers are finishing the second of a two-game set in San Antonio. Due to the coronavirus and also a lesson learned about the quality of play in the bubble, the league is trying to make the most of every road trip and allow the road teams to play and fly out in the same night less often.

With all of that in mind, it should be interesting to see how the Lakers respond after their dominant 121-107 win on Wednesday. LeBron James was excellent on his birthday and got plenty of help as the Lakers shot over 50% from the 3-point line. Wesley Matthews had his first breakout game in a Laker uniform as well on Wednesday, going a perfect 6 for 6 from the 3-point line.
