Lakers report card: Player grades for Game 2 win over Suns

How did the Los Angeles Lakers fare individually in Game 2’s win over the Phoenix Suns?

Four starters for the Los Angeles Lakers scored double-digit points as they defeated the Phoenix Suns 109-102 in Game 2 of their first-round series.

A point of emphasis for the Lakers was getting Anthony Davis back to his usual ways. His uncharacteristic outing in Game 1 played a notable role in their loss.

Davis responded as he needed to, going for 34 points to lead all scorers. LeBron James added 23 points, Dennis Schroder scored 24 and Andre Drummond anchored the paint to chip in 15 to round out the double-digit scorers.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had another rough shooting display, and the Lakers’ bench couldn’t generate its own offense, scoring just 13 points.

Still, the Lakers got the job done with big performances from their key players, knotting the series at 1.
