Lakers news: LeBron and Lakers lead NBA merchandise sales, followed by Nets

LeBron James once again leads jersey sales across the NBA and the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers also lead in sales.

The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James are once again leading the NBA in jersey and merchandise sales halfway through the 2020-21 season. The NBA released the latest data on their sales through NBAStore.com, which have LeBron James and the Lakers at the top followed by the latest super team on the block, the Brooklyn Nets.

While this is an old hat for LeBron and the Lakers, this the highest the Nets have ever ranked in jersey and merchandise sales, according to the league. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden are all in the top-10 across the league in sales. In terms of individual players, Dallas Mavericks wunderkind Luka Doncic is No. 2 behind LeBron James followed by Durant at No. 3.

Behind the Lakers and Nets are the team of the late 2010s in the Golden State Warriors, followed by the Boston Celtics at No. 4 and the East-leading Philadelphia 76ers rounding out the top-five.
