Lakers’ Frank Vogel gives injury updates on Austin Reaves, Trevor Ariza

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel revealed how close Austin Reaves and Trevor Ariza are to returning to action.

The Los Angeles Lakers have dealt with several injuries to start the 2021-22 season.

Though some players, like LeBron James, have returned in recent games, there are still three players out due to respective injuries.

Trevor Ariza, Austin Reaves and Kendrick Nunn are the players that are still out. Nunn (knee) and Ariza (ankle) have yet to play in the regular season, while Reaves recently went out with a hamstring strain.

When all three return, it’s likely that they will all be involved in the rotation in some fashion, especially Ariza and Nunn.

Before the Lakers took on the Detroit Pistons Sunday, head coach Frank Vogel gave an update on Reaves and Ariza, via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet:

There’s no specific timetable for both, but it’s promising that Reaves is inching closer to a return. The undrafted rookie has been a terrific glue guy, especially in lineups comprising LeBron, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis.
