Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard made history Friday.

Dwight Howard made history Friday during the Los Angeles Lakers’ win against the Orlando Magic.

Howard, who started the game, grabbed four rebounds during his 13 minutes of playing time. His first broke the tie on the all-time rebounds list between him and Nate Thurmond.

Howard has 14,468 rebounds in his 18 seasons in the NBA, giving him the sole spot at No. 10.

The future Hall of Famer needs 195 rebounds to pass Kevin Garnett for the No. 9 spot. He’s averaging 5.5 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game this season. At that rate, with 36 games remaining in the regular season, he would have 198 rebounds, which would just be enough.
