Lakers at Suns Game 2: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks

Our best bets for Game 2 between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.

The Los Angeles Lakers play the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday in Game 2, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, moneyline odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet on BetMGM.

The game tips off at 10 p.m. ET and can be seen on TNT or Spectrum SportsNet and Bally Sports Arizona locally.

The mostly inexperienced Suns roster came to play in Game 1, looking poised and sharp against the defending NBA champions. Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton have the momentum from a fantastic opening outing, but Chris Paul’s health is precarious. His shoulder injury noticeably bothered him in the second half.

The Lakers couldn’t shoot from anywhere in Game 1, so they’ll hope to turn the tide to take a win before returning to Staples Center.

Getting Anthony Davis going is another focus. His Game 1 display drew criticism across the NBA spectrum, with Stephen A. Smith calling his performance atrocious. If Los Angeles can clean up a poor opening showing, it has the talent needed to win this one.

Advice and prediction

With Paul’s health in doubt, the Suns need everyone else to step up. Booker lifted the squad to victory in the first game, but the Lakers have the league’s best defense and can make the adjustments necessary to limit his production. Phoenix may have a difficult time creating good looks if Paul’s shoulder doesn’t hold up.

AD has rebounded to deliver big games in the past, and he could exploit the matchup advantage he has against Phoenix to snag a road win. The Lakers need to win this game to make life easier when they return home for the following two games, so they should bring the energy this time around. Take the Lakers minus-1.5 and the under 209.5.

Prediction: Lakers 105, Suns 97
