Lady Vols win third straight game by four or more goals, first time since 1998

Tennessee wins its third straight game by four or more goals for the first time since 1998.

Tennessee (3-2-1) recorded its third consecutive victory Thursday.

The Lady Vols defeated Kennesaw State, 5-0, at Regal Soccer Stadium before an announced crowd of 515.

Tennessee has won its last three games by four, seven and five goals, respectively. The last time Tennessee won three consecitive games by four or more goals was in Sept. 1998, defeating UNC Asheville (8-1), Xavier (4-0) and Arkansas (5-0).

Against Kennesaw State (1-5-1), Jaida Thomas and Mackenzie George scored two goals each.

Thomas scored the first goal of the match, unassisted, in the 19th minute. She also scored in the 44th minute. Maddie Eskin assisted on the goal.

George scored in the 47th minute during the second half. Hannah Zaluski was credited with an assist on the game’s third goal.

Jordan Fusco scored in the 60th minute and Taylor Huff recorded an assist.

George scored the Lady Vols’ final goal in the 67th minute. Her second goal was assisted by Fusco.

The Lady Vols outshot Kennesaw State, 29-5, in the contest.

Tennessee recorded 14 shots on goal. Kennesaw State recorded one shot on goal.
