Lady Vols victorious at Liberty

Tennessee softball is victorious at Liberty.

No. 12 Tennessee notched a midweek road victory Wednesday.

Tennessee (34-13, 11-6 SEC) defeated Liberty (35-14, 18-0 ASUN), 7-2, at Liberty University Softball Stadium in Lynchburg, Virginia.

The Lady Vols had three home runs in the contest. Rylie West hit a three-run home run, while Kiki Milloy and Zaida Puni had solo home runs for Tennessee.

Milloy went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base. She added a scoring single in the fourth inning before West homered in the fifth.

Puni, who had three hits, including a double, hit a home run in the seventh inning.

The Flames tallied once in the third inning and once in the seventh.

In the circle Ashley Rogers (7-5) recorded the win. She surrendered one run, five hits and one walk, while striking out four.

Erin Edmoundson closed the game for Tennessee. She allowed one run, two hits and one walk, while striking out three in 2.2 innings.
