The University of Tennessee women’s basketball team will now host Kentucky Sunday afternoon.
The game was announced by the Southeastern Conference Tuesday.
The No. 25 Lady Vols were scheduled to take on Vanderbilt at Memorial Gymnasium, but that game was canceled when the Commodores opted to end their 2020-21 season early due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to Monday, Vanderbilt had had multiple postponements and cancellations due to the pandemic.
Tennessee will now host the No. 13 Wildcats Sunday at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. EST.
The Lady Vols were also scheduled to host Vanderbilt.
That date remains open on UT’s schedule, but a replacement game may be forthcoming.
