Tennessee Lady Vols tennis falls to Florida.

No. 16 Tennessee lost its second consecutive Southeastern Conference dual match.

The Lady Vols fell, 4-1, to No. 15 Florida at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville. Tennessee (8-4, 2-2 SEC) lost to South Carolina Friday in Columbia.

Against the Gators (9-4, 2-2 SEC) Tennessee, who lost two of three matches in doubles, won its only singles match at No. 4 as Esther Adeshina defeated Florida’s Carly Briggs, 6-3, 6-1.

Adeshina teamed with Elza Tomase to defeat No. 18 Alicia Dudeney and Bente Spree, 6-1.

Tennessee will return home for an SEC match against Georgia on March 19 at Barksdale Stadium.

First serve is slated for noon EDT against the Bulldogs (6-2, 4-0 SEC), who are ranked No. 23 in the nation.
