Lady Vols softball sweeps Ole Miss in first SEC series.

No. 7 Tennessee (20-1, 2-0 SEC) won a doubleheader versus Ole Miss (13-10, 0-2 SEC) Saturday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

The Lady Vols won game No. 2, 8-2, versus the Rebels.

Mackenzie Donihoo hit a solo home run and Giulia Koutsoyanopulos recorded a two-run single in game No. 2.

The Lady Vols scored two runs in the second inning. McKenna Gibson hit a two-run single, extending Tennessee’s lead to 5-2.

Kiki Milloy hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning.

Payton Gottshall (6-0) pitched a complete game for the Lady Vols. She allowed two runs, three hits and two walks, while recording 10 strikeouts.

Tennessee defeated Ole Miss, 1-0, in the series finale.
