The Tennessee volleyball team opened its final Southeastern Conference home series with a sweep of Alabama Thursday.
The Lady Vols defeated Alabama, 25-18, 25-19, 25-13, at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Breana Runnels finished with 17 kills, 11 digs and one assist to lead Tennessee (18-8, 10-6 SEC).
Morgahn Fingall added 11 kills for the Lady Vols, while Knoxville native and Berean Christian School graduate Lily Felts had nine kills and 13 digs.
Natalie Hayward was UT’s leading passer as she amassed 41 assists. She also had five blocks and one service ace.
Madison Bryant recorded 12 digs and two assists against the Crimson Tide (10-17, 2-13 SEC).
The Lady Vols and Crimson Tide will close out their two-match SEC series Friday in Knoxville.
First serve is slated for 6:30 p.m. EST and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
