A trio of Lady Vols athletes posted personal best marks as the indoor track season continued Friday.
Katie Thronson, Olivia Janke and Zoe Vlk also recorded personal best marks in their respective events in the first day of the Bob Pollock Meet in South Carolina, hosted by Clemson University.
Thronson and Janke both ran the mile for the first time this season and both recorded the best times of their respective careers.
Thronson came in fifth in the event, posting a time of 4 minutes, 48.98 seconds. Janke finished sixth (4:51.59).
Vlk had a career-high mark of 15.36 meters (50 feet, 4.75 inches) in the women’s weight throw.
The Lady Vols also had a pair of pole vaulters post season-high jumps in the pole vault at the meet.
Hannah Jefcoat had a mark of 3.95 meters (12-11.5) while Ellison Colarossi vaulted 3.50 meters (11-5.75).
