The Lady Vols basketball team opened the 2021 calendar year and Southeastern Conference play of its schedule on a winning note.
Tennessee, which had its first two conference games postponed due to COVID-19 concerns in its program, finally opened its league slate with a 88-73 victory over No. 13 Arkansas Thursday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Davis posted a double-double as she had 11 rebounds. She also recorded five assists for the Lady Vols, who led 18-17 after the first quarter before extending their advantage over the Razorbacks (10-3, 1-2) to 42-35 by halftime.
