The Lady Vols returned to Rocky Top and found their way back into the win column Thursday night.
Tennessee (3-1) lost its first road game on Sunday, falling in overtime at West Virginia. The contest was part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
Tennessee returned to the friendly confines of Thompson-Boling Arena, defeating Furman 90-53.
Rae Burell had another stellar performance as she scored 26 points, recorded seven assists and totaled three rebounds to lead the Lady Vols to victory.
Burrell also had two steals and a block for the Lady Vols, who opened a 24-14 lead after the first quarter. UT extended its advantage to 52-33 by halftime.
The Lady Vols continued to pull away and closed the contest with a flourish, out scoring the Paladins (1-3) 21-4 over the game’s final 10 minutes.
Burrell went 9-for-12 from the floor and made 6-of-7 from beyond the 3-point arc. She was also 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
Jordan Walker scored 14 points for Tennessee, which travels to Texas Sunday at 5 p.m. EST.
Jaiden McCoy, a Farragut High School graduate, scored nine points, while converting all three of her long-range jumpers.
Tamari Key had eight points, four rebounds and two blocks, while Marta Suarez scored seven points and pulled down eight rebounds.
