It may not seem like that long ago that LaDainian Tomlinson, who retired from the league in 2011, was the most dominant running back in the NFL.
But try this one on for size: LT’s nephew, TCU cornerback Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, is about to be drafted into the league. Feel old yet?
Hodges-Tomlinson went through drills with the rest of the defensive backs on Friday, and it’s clear he’s got some of his uncle’s speed. He impressed with a solid 40-yard dash time of 4.42 seconds, beating his uncle’s time from back in 2001 by just .01 seconds.
How’s that for some Thanksgiving trash-talk fodder?

Hodges-Tomlinson is coming off a fantastic senior season in which he was named a First Team All-American and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back.
His 5-foot-9 frame may work against the three-time First Team All-Big 12 selection, but athletic testing results like this are sure to help his cause.
A bit of name recognition probably won’t hurt, either.
