After sitting out Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers — which the Nets lost 124-108 — Kyrie Irving is likely to be available for Brooklyn’s trip to Detroit on Tuesday. The guard had been dealing with a right index finger sprain that Steve Nash previously said was a day-to-day injury. On Monday, the Nets announced Irving is probable to play.
Also featured on Brooklyn’s status report were Kevin Durant (health and safety protocols), Nicolas Claxton (right knee tendinopathy), Spencer Dinwiddie and Reggie Perry (G League) — all of which are unavailable for Tuesday’s game. Iman Shumpert also remains unavailable due to a left hamstring strain.
Not featured on Brooklyn’s status report for the Nets’ meeting with the Pistons is newly acquired Noah Vonleh, who Brooklyn officially signed to a deal on Monday. Like Shumpert and Norvel Pelle (before Saturday’s game), Vonleh has not appeared in an NBA game yet this season.
