There’s maybe a little bit of history between Boston Celtics fans and the franchise’s former guard, Kyrie Irving.
Things didn’t exactly end well between him and the team when he left to sign with the Brooklyn Nets, and before that, it seemed clear they needed a divorce.
And then there was that time he stomped on the Celtics logo last year, and comparing fans to a “scored girlfriend” recently … yeah.
So when the Nets came to Boston for Game 1, fans gave him an earful all day, which might have sparked him to have an incredible performance … and may have inspired some responses to the TD Garden faithful.
