Kyler Murray is far from a perfect football player. But when a play breaks down, there’s arguably nobody in the NFL who can make something happen out of nothing like he can.
We saw that play out in astonishing fashion on Sunday.
During the Cardinals’ Week 2 game against the Raiders, Murray looked to have Arizona rallying back from a 20-point deficit and make it an eight-point game in the fourth quarter. He did so with one of the more ridiculous (successful) two-point conversions we’ll ever see.
When protection broke down for Murray, the Cardinals quarterback basically ran circles around the Raiders defense for 20.8 seconds (!!!) on his way to the end zone.
This play took 20.8 seconds from snap to score 😱 @K1

An average football play lasts just a few seconds, especially a two-point attempt. But Murray extended the play far beyond the typical realm of possibility.
Kyler Murray traveled 84.9 yards on his successful two-point conversion scramble, the most distance traveled by an offensive ball-carrier on a two-point conversion attempt in the NGS era (since 2016).#AZvsLV | @AZCardinals pic.twitter.com/tGeZvMgjdn

It was a ridiculous effort, and NFL fans were justifiably in awe. It was straight out of a video game.
