Kyle Hamilton named AFC defensive player of the week

Hardly a surprise after his masterful showing on Monday night

It might have been the Grinch that originally stole Christmas but it was [autotag]Kyle Hamilton[/autotag] that used the holiday to put an end to San Francisco 49ers quarterback [autotag]Brock Purdy[/autotag]’s MVP run.

Hamilton, a former All-American at Notre Dame, recorded two interceptions and five tackles in the Baltimore Ravens win at San Francisco on Christmas night.  As a result the second year safety who is quickly being praised as one of the best safeties in the entire league was given AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Hamilton now has 63 tackles, four interceptions, a forced fumble and 13 passes defended on the season while the Ravens now sit at 12-3 and owners of the best record in the AFC.

Is an appearance on the All-Pro team next for Hamilton?
