Klutch CEO Rich Paul named to United Talent Agency Board of Directors

United Talent Agency, one of the world’s largest talent agencies, purchased a significant stake in Klutch Sports last summer.

After moving on from the day-to-day duties of being the head of basketball for Klutch Sports and focusing more on being the agency’s CEO, Rich Paul continues to expand his reach within the field of talent representation.

United Talent Agency announced on Monday that Rich Paul has been named to the UTA Board of Directors, effective immediately. Paul recently hired agent Omar Wilkes to head the basketball division of Klutch, while Paul helps oversee the growing baseball and football divisions of Klutch Sports. Paul is also the head of UTA Sports.

“It’s an honor to join the Board of Directors of a prestigious and successful company like UTA and one so committed to its culture,” Paul said in a statement from UTA.  “These are opportunities not often presented to Black men and women, so it comes with added responsibility to use my position not just to help drive a global business forward but to create more chances for people who look like me and face the same challenges I did. My motivation is to help ensure all young people of color live up to their potential and succeed in the face of the systemic inequality that remains as real today as ever.  I look forward to working with my UTA colleagues at all levels as a board member.”

LeBron James joined Paul when Paul left CAA to start Klutch Sports in 2012 and it has quickly become one of the biggest power players in the sports industry.
