Klay Thompson spotted with a new beardless look during Southern California workout

Klay Thompson has a new clean shaving look. The Golden State Warriors shooting guard was spotted without his beard at a recent workout.

During his eight-year run with the Golden State Warriors, it’s fair to say Klay Thompson has taken on a healthy amount of nicknames.

“Game six Klay,” “China Klay” and “Headband Klay” have all been attached to the Golden State Warriors shooting guard. Even during a season he missed due to injury, “Broadcaster Klay” rose to fame.

On Wednesday, Wes Goldberg of the Bay Area News Group shared a pair of photos of Thompson working out in Southern California with a new clean shaving look. After dawning either a goatee or full beard over the last several seasons, the five-time All-Star may have a new nickname brewing with “Beardless Klay.”

Although his new look is headline-worthy, it’s not just Thompson’s facial hair that’s making news in Southern California.

Steve Kerr recently traveled south to spend time watching Thompson workout. Kerr said the sharpshooting wing was “draining shots from everywhere.”

Thompson was also spotted getting shots up with a trio of NFL quarterbacks. Jordan Palmer shared an Instagram story of the three-time champ shooting with Josh Allen, Sam Darnold and Kyle Allen.

As he continues to knock off rust after missing the Warriors’ 2019-20 season due to a knee injury he suffered in the 2019 NBA Finals, Thompson said his mind and body are currently “100%” ready for his return to the floor.

The Splash Brother’s much-anticipated return to the lineup will be on hold until the start of the 2020-21 season. However, with an extended offseason in front of him, Thompson will have plenty of time to grow his beard back if he chooses.
