Despite their game being postponed against the Nuggets due to the league’s health and safety protocol, there was one positive step for the Golden State Warriors while stopping in Denver.
For the first time in his extended rehab from an ACL and Achilles injury, Klay Thompson joined the Warriors’ starters in a scrimmage.
His return to the court with Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins and others is an encouraging box to check off in Thompson’s rehab before he makes his highly-anticipated debut back in the rotation.

As he ramps up for his return, Thompson has been involved at Golden State’s practices along with being assigned to the Warriors’ G League affiliate in Santa Cruz for more reps at practice.
There’s still no clear timetable for Thompson’s return, but it’s clear the Warriors are going to continue to be patient with their five-time All-Star shooting guard.
Reports have indicated the Warriors are targeting a return in January for Thompson. The Warriors will start the new year with a stop in Utah for a contest against the Jazz before returning home to Chase Center for a contest against the Miami Heat on Jan. 3.
