Before the first bucket of the game, fireworks broke out on the Golden State Warriors new-look in-season tournament court at Chase Center in the opening minutes of Tuesday’s game.
While running down the court, Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels began going back and forth, tugging on each others jerseys. By the time the players reached mid-court, the situation escalated.
Thompson’s jersey was ripped by McDaniels. Rudy Gobert looked to be trying to to break things up at the scene before Draymond Green came to Thompson’s defense. Green grabbed Gobert, putting the Timberwolves center in what appeared to be a headlock.
Tempers flared between both teams at center court before everything was broken up and went to replay review.
