Kirk Herbstreit kept broadcasting on College GameDay while flying to the Texas-Oklahoma game

Kirk Herbstreit doesn’t let a little cross-country travel stop him from calling College GameDay

Whatever your opinion on Kirk Herbstreit is, there is no question the guy works his tail off.

From his Saturday duties on College GameDay to his midweek ESPN hits to calling Thursday Night Football for Amazon Prime to serving as an analyst for whatever the week’s biggest college game on ESPN is, Herbstreit is everywhere all at once.

That was especially true on Saturday morning.

As College GameDay made its return to Eugene for No. 3 Oregon vs. No. 2 Ohio State, Herbstreit left the set mid-show to board his flight to Dallas to call the Red River Rivalry game between No. 1 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma this afternoon. But he didn’t stop broadcasting.

From the car to the airport to the plane to 30,000 feet above the United States, Herbstreit stayed on the air with the GameDay crew, interviewing coaches and making picks.

The man certainly knows how to earn a paycheck. We’ll give him that.
