ESPN College Football analyst Kirk Herbtreit isn’t optimistic about the 2020 college football and NFL seasons. In fact, Herbstreit is projecting there to be no football for the upcoming season.
Due to concerns over the timeline of the coronavirus vaccine, which is projected to take several more months, Herbstreit thinks the 2020 season will not be played. The coronavirus is not slowing down at this point in time for the United States.
Additionally, there’s concern surrounding the massive amount of social interaction in football games themselves and throughout the stadium. Sporting events throughout the world have been cancelled for the time being, but how long will this last? That’s an unanswerable question at the moment.
For now, Herbstreit is doubtful about the upcoming football season. “I’ll be shocked if we have NFL football this fall, if we have college football. I’ll be so surprised if that happens,” Kirk Herbstreit said on ESPN Radio.
College football fans throughout the country would miss College Gameday if the 2020 season should be cancelled. Georgia Bulldog and college football fans need to sit tight and take care of themselves. That’s arguably the best hope for college football and NFL football in 2020.
