Caitlin Clark made history on Thursday night, becoming the all-time women’s college basketball scoring leader.
In vintage Clark fashion, it came on a logo 3-pointer. Needing only eight points at the beginning of the night to surpass former Washington guard Kelsey Plum’s 3,527 career points, Clark wasted little time delighting the sellout Carver-Hawkeye Arena crowd.

It took just 2:12 of game action for Clark to overtake Plum and make her way to the top of women’s college basketball royalty.
After Clark sank her history-making bucket, Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz offered a heartfelt congratulations across social media.

“Congratulations on this historic achievement. We are so proud of you and the whole team’s successes. Hawkeye fans around the world are celebrating with you,” Ferentz wrote.
It’s right on brand for Ferentz to deliver a classy congratulations in a prompt manner immediately following this monumental milestone.
A number of fans paid large amounts on the secondary ticket market to get a glimpse of Clark making history. Those Hawkeye and basketball fans were rewarded with a patented Clark performance.
Clark just went off in general, registering a 40-piece. It’s the 12th time in her career that Clark has done that. She also tallied her 58th career double-double as Clark eclipsed double-figure assists.
