Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 3,603 yards in the 2019 regular season. BetMGM has Cousins’ over-under for passing yards a little over that for 2020.
His over-under right now is set at 3799.5 yards, according to BetMGM.
If I had to guess, it seems like Cousins’ yards will be somewhere around where he was in 2019, with Dalvin Cook presumably staying and Gary Kubiak probably running a similar offense to Kevin Stefanski.
The question in regards to BetMGM’s over-under will be whether Cousins’ similar statistics will take him to 3,800 yards or not. It’s hard to see him throw for 4,000 yards in a Vikings offense that emphasizes the run as much it does. However, just 200 more yards than last season, especially when he didn’t play in the final regular season game of 2019, is hard to determine.
I think there’s a good chance he could eclipse that, especially if the Vikings have to contend for a playoff spot down the stretch. But if Minnesota secures a playoff spot early, then I could see Cousins going under those numbers.
